Our Founder
MY.VIE was founded by Michael Young, a renowned Australian hairdresser. Michael is a self-proclaimed big energy, a lover of all things hair, and always down for a good old chat.
Michael has over 14 years of experience in the industry, working around the world.
From international salons and fashion weeks to sailing and styling on luxury cruise lines, Michael draws from international exposure to bring you the ultimate hair styling experience.
The origin of our name
"MY"
After endless name ideas with other geniuses already using them, I translated, abbreviated and experimented with all combinations that came to mind. I was persistent to keep 'MY' in the name because it brings ownership to the brand for everyone, also symbolising me, Michael Young.
"VIE"
I wanted a French vibe because they do everything so seamlessly in life, especially hair, fashion and beauty. With these requirements in mind, it lead me to the French translation of life, 'vie'. Giving you MY VIE... MY LIFE.
Our Sustainability
When shipping our products, we make sure to use only the best quality packaging, with both the condition of your order and the sustainability of our environment in mind.
All of our packaging is 100% sustainable and fully recyclable, as we are conscious of our waste and the huge positive impact we can have through the small changes we make.

That’s why we have teamed up with Aussie companies such as Heaps Good Packaging and Hero packaging, using bio degradable and compostable items like sticky tape, mailer bags and our eco friending bubble wrap that isn’t bubble wrap.
90-180 days to rid the planet of these items, that’s quicker than getting over your ex!
